The Malampaya Foundation, Inc. (MFI) is an organisation committed to sustainable social and environmental development in areas where the Malampaya Project operates. One of its key projects is the Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) program, which aims to give unemployed individuals and out-of-school youths from Palawan and Subic the opportunity to learn vocational skills relevant to onshore oil and gas industry.
MFI and Site Skills Training worked hand in hand to tailor and deliver a training program which helped develop the candidates’ skills in welding, scaffolding, and rigging. The training, which also incorporates soft skills and basic HSSE awareness, was conducted at the Malampaya HSSE training centre in Site Skills Training Clark.
